Ride Through Glacier Nat’l Park

Sprague Creek Campground – St. Mary’s Campground on East side of Glacier, Wednesday, Sept. 6th, 35 miles, Total 919. Elevation Gain 3,724. Two flat tires.

Years ago my boys and I jumped off the far boulder into the calm cold water. Decided against it this trip 🤪
So excited to Ride Going To the Sun Road over Logan Pass.

Road another two miles on the muddy road construction road to get to Lake McDonald Lodge and had a great breakfast before tackling Logan Pass

Lake McDonald Lodge

Climb has begun. Pulled off a lot during ascent to take pictures and videos. Sites are amazing! This was on my bucket list to do on a bike. Was stopped by another ranger after 11am telling me I had to turn around. Don’t they know their own rules!! Jeeze!!! Leave me alone, I got some riding to do!

Can see car on road. Very narrow roads but everyone is moving slow.
Made it!! Descent will be fun!

I enjoyed the descent and even kept pace with the cars. Was such an enjoyable day until leaving the park when I got two flat tires within 5 minutes. At least I wasn’t cruising downhill when they went flat. A small piece of metal shaving like a needle pierced my tire. But all in all was an epic day!!

Had a snack at Logan Pass to celebrate
Pictures don’t do it justice
Two flat tires leaving park. Made for a long but enjoyable day!
Back tire too. Everything has to come off loaded bike.
